OnBoard AI Vision Keynote

Motion Design + Brand Design

OB AI Logo.png

OnBoard unveiled their AI vision along with a full suite of AI capabilities in the summer of 2026. The goal was to bring visibility to OnBoard AI by reaching a larger audience. This was the first time OnBoard produced an event at this scale.

I led branding for the event. That meant designing and building assets to be used at scale on a 40 foot LED screen and producing supporting content following the event. I collaborated with stakeholders from brand, product, and executive leadership. Additionally, I spent 3 days on set to ensure a smooth filming process and output.

Color

The event needed it to stand out from OnBoard's typical branding further than a unique logo. Because the background and assets would be shown with a lot of gradient and blurring, I needed a broad range color including darker tones for the background and lighter tints for accent colors. In regard to the accent colors, these pull directly from the colors used in the OnBoard AI logo.

Primary Background

The background needed to be a continuous loop to to add visual interest and depth to the space. To do this the background needed to have moving elements, layered elements, gradual colors, and textures. This is achieved through the use of shapes, blurs, gradients, and noise.

Secondary Background

For speaker sections with a large number of overlayed supporting assets, particularly the product screens throughout the CPO's section, the background needed to be simple. The secondary background is a clean version of the primary background. No shapes. Only a moving gradient and noise.

Transitionary Background

Finally, we needed a transitionary background to cue in handoffs between speakers. Rather than a looping background, this background is an overlayed burst to be played on top of the main background. The burst shows change through a pulsing wave with flashes of new colors. It is only played once per transition.

Overlaying Assets

Throughout the keynote overlayed animations were used to support ideas, data, quotes, and so on. They make use of light, transparency, and motion to work into the backgrounds and create an experience out of the information. These overlays had to be created in states (on, still, off) so that they could be cued throughout the production and seamlessly align with dialog.

Product Screens

The big reveal in the keynote is the product. Specifically, the CPO walks through OnBoard's latest AI capabilities. I worked closely with VP of Product Design to ensure that the product was shown accurately and aligned with points made throughout the keynote. Below is a burst of screen animations. In the event these would pause and play between states to align with talking points.

Promotion

Leading up to and following the keynote included a load of promotional videos, posts, webinars, and emails. Including a press release with PR Newswire and an interview with Bloomberg. In total, we filmed 21 pieces of video content during our 3 days on set.

This event raised the bar at OnBoard for brand productions and established a clear vision for the future of AI in corporate governance. Marc Huffman, OnBoard CEO, described the event as a mic drop moment.

Throughout filming, we produced 21 videos. The overall event doubled registration goals, increased organic web sessions, and influenced $574,000 ARR.

Beyond the keynote, my work on video and YouTube in 2026 consisted of 1.4M views (+40% YoY growth), +2.2K followers, 40 published videos, and 111 published Shorts.
